Don't discard user input

I've tried for two times to create a project. And two times my input was discarded and no project was created when I closed a "please upgrade" pop-up.
Guys, I understand the need to sell subscriptions. I've love the Taskade idea, but please let me actiually try to do something with it? And I'm not asking for more free features, just let me create and look at my project in peace.

Losing your input twice when an upgrade prompt appears is genuinely awful — that's wasted effort and it erodes trust, and you're absolutely right to call it out. User input should never be discarded regardless of what modal or gate appears. This kind of interaction design conflict is something we take seriously. We've logged this specifically and it's being investigated. For now, if you're hitting the upgrade wall, the web version sometimes handles these flows more gracefully than desktop. We want you to actually be able to use Taskade and evaluate it fairly — that experience you described isn't acceptable. We appreciate you giving us the feedback instead of just walking away. Hang tight while we get this sorted.

Hi there, this seems to be a bug rather than any intended "paywall".
Could I please check which platform you are using Taskade on? (Windows/Mac, Browser etc - e.g Windows 11, Google Chrome)
Do try out another network as well, as using a VPN or work network may interfere with Taskade and cause it not to work properly.
also, if possible, please screenshot and send the "please-upgrade" pop-up if you get it again while trying to create a project. there should not be a pop-up in this case.
thank you for your patience! we'll look into this asap.

jiawei.kek Thank you! I'm using Google Chromium on Linux, Version 136.0.7103.92 (Official Build) Fedora Project (64-bit). I'll screenshot the pop-up next time I encounter one.

Hi there, if the issue is still persisting on your end, it may be related to certain limitations associated with your current plan. Also, any discarded projects may be due to file size limitations, as the free version allows up to 10 MB only.
