Hello,
- Can I suggest uploading custom icons? Coda allows this, which is cool. But they also use other than emojis. It would be cooler if the icon automatically matched the project title.
- For example, if the project title is WordPress theme development workflow, the AI will match it with the WordPress logo icon.
- Raindrop.io extension does it but without AI - NOT a problem too. Keeping it simple!
- There are tonnes of open-source icons that you can incorporate into Taskade. Using Emojis is not very descriptive.. emojis don't even have a proper icon for software-related or alot of other stuffs too.

It is Feb 2024 and this appears still cannot be done, correct? What are workarounds others are using to make each project look differently when viewing all? Seems like a really simply update to be able to add a png file as the icon and frustrating its been requested since 2022 and nada

I wish this gets added soon as it's been more than a year since this has been planned and it doesn't seem like this would be hard to implement compared to all the AI stuff.
I would also like the ability to use any emojis available. I notice that certain emojis such as 😵💫 isn't available as an icon.

It looks like icon-related requests are getting merged into this one, so I'll make my request here: I would love the option to draw from a clean set of icons anywhere the interface asks you to choose an emoji.
I've been using Taskade on and off since the early days, and the UI has come a long way. I know it sounds silly, but a primary thing that keeps me from using it as my go-to task/knowledge manager is the overemphasis on emojis. I know it is very subjective, but I find that they distract significantly from the otherwise clean and beautiful UI.
The Taskade UI now has its own set of beautiful icons throughout. I would love to be able to use similar icons when creating a project/folder/page. Maybe that's a set of custom Taskade icons, or maybe it would be simpler to bring in an existing library.
Ideally, it would also be nice to use different colors with them, either for the icon itself (my preference) or with a color backdrop.
I had a similar experience with Notion. Once they introduced icons (with color versions) as an alternative to emoji, my sidebar and dashboards feel so much cleaner.

Would highly prefer the ability to utilize custom icons for as default for an entire workspace. While the Taskade icons and emoticons are certainly catchy, they don't come across as professional for companies that would like to use the Taskade platform for their clients. There's already an ability to make color changes and upload graphics which is useful, but for the "boring professional" client realm, the current icons don't present well unfortunately.
