At a minimum, it'd be nice to have 3-4 predefined fonts and conservative typography settings (size, color, etc.), so it doesn't get too distracting. This should be a user-level setting.

Love the framing here — "3-4 predefined fonts with conservative typography settings" is exactly the right approach. Not an overwhelming font picker, just a few well-chosen options that keep things readable and professional.
We've shipped some building blocks: dark and light mode are fully supported with a per-account default setting (v6.81), and branding customization options arrived in v6.8 for workspace appearance. But custom font choices per user — which is what you're describing — haven't landed yet.
With Taskade Genesis, published apps do support some appearance customization for the apps you share publicly (https://taskade.com/create). For personal workspace typography, this is under review and your framing of it as a user-level setting rather than a document-level one is exactly how we'd want to approach it. The thing I miss the most is the ability to change the font, the font color, and other basic formatting controls we dont have. The undo button needs to be on the header bar for all applications. And Custom Agents need to be available automatically on every project, workspace and folder. So that all versions of agent 99 have the same knowledge and memories. All old chats and saved chats need auto add to knowledge instead of one post at a time. And finally - need to have options when adding agent results to a project - to include or not my side of chat, which project if not a new one, and which block - and real time internet searches like any search engine. Pretending it can when it still doesn't know the date... Come on. And I want a desktop version of my custom agent that I can install locally and give it access to all my files and such like siri only better. That I can sync memory with my online one. basically they need a door to put credentials and turn him loose doing stuff not just telling me the order to do it myself

I'm not convinced about changing the font color.

And what if there are 2 users, one uses dark mode and the other doesn't.
And one will change the color to one that won't be visible in dark mode, because they will blend in with the background.

jack-s I believe changes to font color should not be an issue if implemented through Theme settings that incorporate predefined "Dark Mode" and "Light Mode" color schemes. Apple devices, including iPhones and Macs, automatically adjust these modes to maintain a seamless user experience. Consequently, a comparable approach can be effectively applied in this context.
Additionally, an adopt to this approach not only enhances user satisfaction by catering to their visual preferences but also streamlines the design process, ensuring consistency and professionalism across platforms.

More customization

I would love to be able to customize Taskade a little more. A font selection, even if it was not extensive, would make a massive difference. It would also be nice to be able to select actual images instead of just emojis when setting up new projects. I love the layout options Taskade has for boards. I would just like to be able to customize the look a little more, for myself, as well as to differentiate various projects.
