Doc-like editing like Notion.

ATM it functions like a to do list. Content we create are in bullet points by default.
Would be good to open a new project in Doc style (Like Google doc or Notion) instead of bullet points.
And we can have more formatting options like H1, H2, H3, Quotes, Embed video, images and so on.
This gives us so much more flexibility and become a serious contender for Notion.
Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the detailed feedback and continued interest. We hear you.
We’ve been actively exploring a more flexible Article or Doc View that supports long-form writing, full-width embeds, rich formatting, and non-task paragraphs. This has come up consistently in interviews and community feedback.
Here’s what we’re currently looking into:
• Enter + Enter behavior to create paragraphs instead of new tasks
• Full-width media like images and embeds
• Consistent rendering between public share links and the main editor
• Background and theme support that works across views like Gantt, Table, and more
That said, we’d love to clarify a few things with you all before finalizing the direction:
1. Should Article View be a separate mode or a toggle per project?
2. What formatting blocks matter most to you (H1 to H3, quotes, dividers, embeds)?
3. If you use Notion or similar tools today, what blockers are stopping you from switching to Taskade?
Would appreciate your thoughts. We’ll keep this thread updated as we make progress.

John at Taskade Functionally, a view that can be formatted via markdown (Your flavor may vary) without breaking separate paragraphs into task blocks. Embedded views would be nice, but not my first need. I would tend to think it would work best as a separate mode. I would add, that in order to truly shift from notion (or, in my case, a bunch of .md files), there would need to be an additional option for documents under the general folder structure. (projects, AI Agents, Automations, _Documents_ , etc.)
Bonus points if the documents view could have a nested structure, so I could build a full knowledgebase within each subgroup, and if there was a "master view" of all documents available for a workspace.

- Synchronized blocks: The ability to sync headers or footers across multiple pages (like in Notion) is super handy for standardizing key information (links, rules, etc.) without having to copy and paste everything.
- Column layout: Notion’s block system allows pages to be structured into multiple columns, which makes reading clearer and enables greater customization (number of blocks per row, colors, alignment, etc.).
- Smooth and interconnected creation: In Notion, you can easily create a document from anywhere (buttons, dashboards, internal links…), making it fast and modular to build out your workspace.
- Databases as blocks: This is the real game-changer. You can filter, sort, and embed databases into any page with personalized views. This makes it possible to build powerful, interconnected systems.
- Nested structure + master view: Having a hierarchical view by subgroup (agents, projects, etc.) combined with a global "master view" of all documents in the workspace would be extremely useful for navigating rich content spaces.

- Should Article View be a separate mode or a toggle per project?
- Both would be ideal
- If both aren't possible, a separate mode would be better for sharing with teams and clients or for publishing
- What formatting blocks matter most to you (H1 to H3, quotes, dividers, embeds)?
- Markdown support
- The more formatting options available, the better
- If you use Notion or similar tools today, what blockers are stopping you from switching to Taskade?
- I use Craft specifically because I can't create documents in Taskade
- If Taskade added document creation capability, I would cancel my Craft subscription immediately
- Currently, I create documents in Craft to share with my clients and team members, then add those links within Taskade for them to access

- Could you explain what you mean by article view? Are you saying it should be a read-only option?
- Regarding the formatting blocks, I think Taskade should look at how Craft handles documents. Specifically, I'd focus on their formatting options and block options. Notion is good for that bullet journal feel. However, it's not my favorite to type and work in. I prefer Craft for that.
- Two things hold me back from using Taskade for document-related purposes.
A. The keyboard navigation in List view is confusing. If you indented something, navigating across multiple lines or nodes becomes a lot harder. Craft and Notion feel much more fluid in that regard. I would study how they handle that.
B. Sub-pages. IMO, Notion handles this one the best. You can quickly create an additional layer of depth. Craft has this too. You can connect things together much more easily than with Taskade. Notion gives you a quick preview of the subpage as well in a sidebar/modal. Craft adds it to the document directly.
Overall, I would explore the main use cases with documents. I don't often find myself switching between multiple views. Usually, if it's informational, like a SOP or an article, I use List View. I'm not going to switch to board view or table view.
If I need to group data together or phase things out, I typically use either board view or Table view. I don't switch between them.
Regarding the other stuff, I'd make a few changes:
- Support Full Markdown. No reason why Taskade should only be limited to H1 and H2. Add more heading levels.
- Shift + Enter for multi-line paragraphs. I don't want a node for every line item. It breaks things apart, and it doesn't feel intuitive when typing.
- Word counter. Add a word counter to see how many words/characters I have on my document.
- Resizable and Embedded Images/Videos, etc. I want to attach images and other rich media. This also opens up capabilities for the AI to generate complete documents in the future.
- Hide project-related features. If I'm treating it like a document, don't add project-like features to it. Hide the due date, the assigned field, and the progress bar. It'll reduce clutter and allow for space to write or type.
- Formatting options. Highlighting ≠ underlining. Add text highlighting. See how Craft handles this.
- In-line commenting. Collaboration on documents involves a lot of small comments on individual words. Give users that option.

Glad to hear that!
* I hope each element(Yellow box in first attached image) in Taskade would have a structure similar to a page in Notion, and could be the node.
* Possibly I have 1 item as Second attached image. (as of now the one is 11 items in Taskade.)

Linking, Organisation and Long form writing options in a simple way like Kortex.co

Hi there, thanks for sending your feature request!
For organisation, are you referring to folder/sub-folders?
You can check out this post here, and do upvote it if this is what you're looking for.
For long form writing options, please consider upvoting this forum post here.
As for linking, I am unsure of what you mean by that exactly. are you able to share more about your use case and how you see this feature fitting into your work?

jiawei.kek Hi, I was looking for an easy idea capture process and global tagging so that there can be interconnection between different folders and projects. Something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAunyIQnpEU and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfgZ9qGSPis
This will be very helpful for many.

teamsc: got it, thanks for the clarification.
You can consider upvoting and adding your feedback to this post here, regarding global tagging

Just wanted to add that not being able to write long-form content without spending an equal amount of time reformatting things in Taskade is my #1 blocker for 1. Getting the most out of the AI features 2. Making Taskade my default everything.
I understand we can keep notes elsewhere, but that defeats the purpose of an AI workspace.

John at Taskade, Narek Zograbian I just went through the tread and i am confused if this feature is even being considered or not. I believe it was put under InProgress for some time and then again put back under planned.
I understand it is a very difficult task to implement this change while keeping the current workflow intact for the customer base. but the more you delay this feature more difficult it gets to implement it.
just want clarity if we can expect this feature or not.

The problem is that you're forced to use Notion, when creating MD formatted text
If you try adding it to Taskade, it removes some of the symbols used, for example '---' and '>' gets removed
Notion is not perfect, but it somehow still keeps all the formatting

This is a must.

Narek Zograbian any updates on when this will be integrated? It's a little disappointing to see so many upvotes and no priority for this topic since 2,5 years.
Narek Zograbian
laurimarketing Hey there! We've discussed implementing some of these things internally. It's not the simplest or easiest change to make unfortunately. We're still looking into it.

I would love this

If implemented this should cover off feedback in Option to Display only Checkbox Nodes in My Tasks
