Time blocking tasks in calendar mode
johanna.c.a.keim
I'm finding it difficult to set up time blocking with tasks I already have on my kanban board. It would be great to be able to take tasks that I've already created and time block them by dragging the top and bottom edges of the rectangle to fill block like in Google calendar rather than inputting start and end times. It would really help!
Thanks!

Calendar Addition, Drag and Drop, Import and Export of Events and Meetings

Enhanced Functionality for Calendar: Adding, Dragging and Dropping, Importing and Exporting Events and Meetings.
When scheduling a meeting with someone, I am unable to find a function that allows me to conveniently add the event to the calendar by simply right-clicking. Furthermore, there seems to be no option for importing the event or supporting .ics files with all the necessary meeting info/details.
Additionally, I would like to have the ability to download the selected events in both .xlsx and .ics formats.

Re-imagine calendar view
lbdsgn
Search on "calendar" here and you'll see we don't like the current calendar implementation. You can't do much with it, and you can't customize it. It needs to be re-imagined. Including, but not limited to:
• Use it as a planning tool (option to not 'disappear' completed tasks)
• Color-coding tasks within one calendar, so it's not all one color.
• Drag to prioritize task lozenges within one day.
• Views options with filters for assigned, project, status, etc.
• Ability to add notes/comments IN the calendar view — to work with calendar items like you can work in the list view.
• Hover to see more details.
What else?

Hi there, thank you for the suggestion, i understand that this post is a compilation of various other posts already present here, to help better consolidate votes, may I merge this post with a similar suggestion here https://taskade.com/feedback/feature-requests/p/drag-to-set-event-duration-in-calendar-view ?
lbdsgn
ryantaskade: Thanks for asking. This suggestion goes beyond easier duration selection, so IDK what's best for you. My suggestion is to not take all the Calendar suggestions as individual tweaks, but rather step back and look at the calendar view and functions from a fresh perspective. Whatever helps you do that is fine.

Ryan, you can see for example that this calendar would greatly benefit from color-coding, at minimum. And that disappearing each task when it's completed would destroy the team's view of their project.

lbdsgn: Hi there, thank you for the clarification, we do use the individual posts to track the popularity and help prioritise our build order. Tackling the entire calendar with all tweaks at a time would be challenging and require substantial effort.
I'll go ahead and merge this post.

I would argue that there should be an AI-assisted planner for tasks. On top of that, integrations with other programs to display events in your calendar in Taskade.

Add Option To Do Time Blocking On Calendar Using Mouse
megaishu
Please add an option to do time blocking using the mouse, just like in Google Calendar. That way is much more efficient.

How do we know if this is under consideration? Such a vital time-blocking feature.

Calendar drag like Google Calendar
peterkarlen
When you drag a task in Taskade Calendar it snaps to every 10 minutes. In Google Calendar it snaps to every 15 minutes. It would be good to have the same so it will be more seamless to switch between the two.
Also, I'd like to be able to drag the end time of the task (like in Google Calendar).

I'm sure you meant to say "Event" ? Dawid Bednarski
