Thanks for this request — and for the 83 votes backing it up, we hear you loud and clear. Accidentally deleting a project or task and having no way to get it back is genuinely painful, and a recycle bin / recently deleted view has been on our radar for a while.
We don't have a dedicated trash bin shipped just yet, but in the meantime Taskade does have Version History available (v6.14.0) that lets you browse, compare, and restore previous versions of your apps and projects. It's not quite the same as a full recycle bin, but it can be a lifesaver when something disappears unexpectedly.
We'll keep this request active and continue tracking it. The changelog at https://taskade.com/changelog is the best place to catch it the moment it lands. Appreciate your patience — this is exactly the kind of workflow-safety feature we want to get right.

Hey Team could you please let us know the whereabouts of the recycling bin? It seems to be missing, and it is a crucial part of the system.

any update on this? today one of my project got accidentally deleted and we lose everything

One solution is to remove 'Delete Project' from Workspace and Folders 'Projects' tab. So you have to go into 'Completed' to delete projects. Would that be an ok solution to prevent accidental deletes?

The default behavior is to mark a project as 'Complete' which goes into 'Completed'. One option here is to hide the 'Delete' option entirely and only accessible if you go into 'Completed' tab.

John at Taskade: From what I understood in the request made by Jack S. is that he wants to have a location—similar to a recycle bin on operating systems—where the deleted/unwanted projects can be stored; and if the need arises that the deleted projects are to be revisited—whether to make a reference to notes or look for tasks which may have been listed within that project—they can.
I believe it would be best not to mix unwanted projects with approved and completed ones.
With this new addition (if added), there should be options to clear the "recycle bin" and permanently delete individual projects.

So that you can recover accidentally classified in Trash.
