Totally agree — column sums and formulas are table basics and the absence is felt immediately when you're doing anything numeric. This is one of the most-requested Table View improvements and it's actively on our radar.
We launched Table View Beta in v5.157 with filtering and grouping, added CSV import in v5.165, and have been steadily expanding what it can do. However, true spreadsheet-style formulas and column aggregations (sum, average, count) aren't live yet — it's a meaningful engineering lift to do well without breaking the existing task-first data model.
With Taskade Genesis, you can work around this today by asking an AI agent to tally or analyze a column's values and output a summary — it's not the same as a native formula bar, but it does handle ad-hoc calculations. We're committed to making Table View a genuine spreadsheet alternative. Your upvotes here genuinely influence prioritization, so keep them coming! https://taskade.com/changelog

The ability to do calculations, such as subtracting one numeric field value from another numeric field value, along with totaling a column is really essential to a table view.
Also, referencing another task and then having fields that can pull from custom fields in that referenced task would be super helpful as well.

Can we have a new custom column type for formula in taskade like Airtable does?

Add calculation for number fields in table

You know, when there is a number field, for example, pricing, I want to have sum of the whole price column, or anything relatable (mhmm, notion type shi mhmmmm)

Oh and sorting by column too, such a good feature for handling tables

datht.official: Hi there, are you referring to sorting tasks in the table view? this can be accessed by clicking the triple dot icon next to the Tasks column. do let me know if I understood you correctly.

jiawei.kek. Yeah it is, but it's only sorting default column, not customized column, for example: price as custom number type column

Hey there! Where would you like this to show up? At the end of the table?
jack-s
At first, yes.
🤔
But in the examples I gave, it could also be an additional field in a row that will perform calculations based on other fields in the same row.
It could be something like formulas in Excel.
Narek Zograbian
jack-s: Almost like a formula field? Would this be a one-off for a row, or something that applies to each row in the table?
jack-s
Each row in the table

Narek Zograbian like a total row to sum/count/avg (& more using formulas) each column in the Board as well as Project level.
