Feature Suggestion: Integration of Focus-Enhancing Capabilities Similar to "HeyFocus" App
bandaralmutiri10
I am writing to you as a dedicated user of Taskade, enthusiastic about the platform's continual growth and its commitment to enhancing productivity for its users.
I wanted to suggest a feature that could potentially amplify the value Taskade brings to its user base – the integration of focus-enhancing functions similar to those found in the "HeyFocus" app. Having used Taskade for various project management and organizational tasks, I believe an additional focus mode could complement the current suite of features splendidly.
The "HeyFocus" app has been instrumental in helping users mitigate distractions and foster deeper concentration. If a similar feature were available in Taskade, it could streamline workflows by enabling users to:
Temporarily block access to distracting websites during work sessions.
Create personalized focus sessions directly within Taskade’s interface.
Integrate these sessions with Taskade's existing task lists and calendars for optimized productivity.
I am confident that incorporating such capabilities would resonate well with the community that relies on Taskade to stay focused and organized in our increasingly digital workspace.
I deeply appreciate the effort your team devotes to user feedback and suggestions. Thank you for considering this proposal, and I would be thrilled to discuss this idea further at your convenience.
Warm regards,

are there public roadmap available to see in which stage requested features? Time tracking I generally a core.
So, at least there are should be interim solution like integration e.g. Asana<>Everhour
Narek Zograbian
voloshchukstanislav: We'll be able to add more core features like this once we've released some other ones (i.e. Custom Fields, Gantt View)
arifur
Narek Zograbian How long will it take? Its been years. I do not think a feature like this should take this long to implement.
Narek Zograbian
arifur This feature is in our plans for sure. It's not something we've abandoned, but we haven't started work on it yet. We're still ironing out and polishing some of our other recent updates before we take on a new feature like this one.
arifur
Narek Zograbian It is one of the most requested features so it should have been a higher priority.
Narek Zograbian
arifur We use a mix of factors when making product decisions, vote count is one of them, but it's not the deciding factor.

arifur No ETA at the moment but we are looking into prioritizing it.
IF you have any specifications, requirements, please do leave here for the team.

Filter how much time a user spent on tasks
gabortorda
Filter based on how much time a user worked on a specific task in a given time period. Let's say how many hours I worked on a specific SEO task between january and march.
Monday.com has this functionality.
Narek Zograbian
Hey there! Would you see this as part of a reporting feature?
Where specifically would you expect to see this?
gabortorda
Narek Zograbian: Yes it could be a reporting feature. Some clients require to list all the dates and times I worked on a specific project or task. This data should be exportable to xls.
Narek Zograbian
gabortorda: That makes sense. Thank you for clarifying!

I am definitely thinking this is never going to happen. Without this we will be moving on. So much more useful than another 'AI' tool

happybydesign: Its been "planned" for years now. I dont get why its so hard to implement?

I've been searching everywhere for a way to integrate time tracking of tasks and subtasks—to no avail. Hoping this is added soon!
happybydesign
really need this soon! Becoming unworkable without!
arifur
happybydesign: I dont think it will be implemented any time soon.

Any update on this? John at Taskade
john
arifur: Thanks. Could you provide screenshots and more details about the starting point for Taskade's time trackers to enhance our utility?
Alternatively, should we concentrate on integrating Taskade with third-party time trackers? If so which is your top-3? We are eager to learn more. Thanks!
arifur
john: Many have posted lots of good ideas previously. Implementing any one of them will suffice me. I just wanted to know how long before we see anything implemented.
Third party integration is welcome but I think tasked should have some time tracking even if its something basic.
Thanks
irfz
John at Taskade can you have the tracker like Hubstaff. It would be awesome, for now i have to take hubstaff.

john: I have used quite a few and tested them to suite our office. At the moment i am impressed with Hubstaff. They have solved almost all our problems in terms of tracking. There is two ways we can go forward from here,
First option :
Integration with Hubstaff, fast way for us to completely switch to Taskade(waiting time will be less i hope). Why we in our company cannot use taskade as a task management tool is because it does not have integrations with Hubstaff. We are currently using Hubstaff tasks for that(but i know taskade is far better, but what holds us is that the tasks our project managers puts on hubstaff tasks gets updated with the hubstaff tracker seamlessly. We cannot use the current time tracker in taskade since it counts backwards. What happens after the estimated time is over, we cannot track. the inegration will solve this problem and i think there is a huge chunk of users who cannot use taskade as their project management tool just because of this.
Second Option:
Build a custom time tracker like hubstaff. You can visit their website. But i guess the waiting time will be more than a year then.
We are using Taskade currently for all company documentation purposes and employess go to tool to make notes and documentations. But if the time tracker is integrated or cutom built into takade, Holla!!! we are switching everything (Documentation, Time tracking, Project Management) over to Taskade.
