Web app & desktop app have become too slow or crash too regularly

Since the last few updates and the inception of Genesis both the web app and the desktop app have become extremely slow, compute / memory-intensive and now tend to crash more and more regularly. This has never been the case before and degrades product experience considerably on top of the UI/UX issues flagged multiple times. Please advise on the steps taken to make the application more useable and less resource-intensive.

This is fair criticism and we don't want to minimize it — slowness and crashes that weren't present before a major update are a real regression, not just growing pains, and we've heard this from others too.
Performance has become one of our top engineering priorities. In v6.108.0 (Feb 11) we shipped a dedicated Performance Boost update with faster loading for agent lists in large workspaces and smoother scrolling and navigation throughout. We've also been systematically reducing memory footprint in the web and desktop apps as Genesis matures.
We know Genesis introduced meaningful architectural changes that, while enabling powerful new capabilities, had a real cost on compute and load times — especially for users with large workspaces. Fixing that without stripping back features is the ongoing challenge.
Could you let us know your approximate workspace size (number of projects/spaces) and your device specs? That helps us understand whether you're hitting a known scaling issue we're targeting. We've already shipped a major performance overhaul — rebuilt state management, faster rendering, and reduced memory usage. More improvements coming. If still experiencing slowness, try clearing browser cache and disabling extensions.In the meantime, explore what's new:

After further investigation, it turns out the background animation now present on nearly every single page sucks a lot of GPU resource for nothing. Disabling hardware acceleration in browser settings (for the web app) alleviates the issue, but the problem for the desktop app stays the same. Moving agent discussions in a separate window (where there is no background animation) also helps. Any further proposals / corrections welcome.
