If I'm sharing a project, I typically don't expect that I would have to set the view when sharing it. By default, I think the shared link should share the project in the view that it's currently set on. If I want to change it, I should have the option to share it as a different view. However, the current way that it works forces me to pick a view to share in.
I've seen this issue a few times where a user simply copies and pastes the share link for the project but they forget or don't know about setting the view ahead of time. So, they intended to share a mindmap, but they shared a list instead.

You nailed the friction point here — having to manually re-select the view every time you share a project, when you're already looking at the exact view you want to share, feels like an unnecessary extra step. It should just inherit the current view as the default.
We've made a lot of progress on the publishing and sharing experience overall — in v5.81.0 we improved share links and default view handling for new projects, and the new publishing experience (launched in v6.18.0) brought a more streamlined flow. The publish view for shared subspaces also got a preview tab in v6.55.0.
That said, the specific behavior you're describing — where the share dialog pre-selects whichever view you're currently in — hasn't fully landed yet. It's a logical UX improvement and your report of seeing this cause friction multiple times makes a strong case.

We will look into this. Note the current workaround is to share the project with a
View
or Edit
link. As the Publish link is List VIew only. When sharing a collaboration link even if set to View only, you can toggle views to Mind Map etc...
