Yes, this is super important for getting tasks which often originate from an email into Taskade!!
Additionally, getting tasks and information into Taskade from other apps needs to be improved overall. I noticed that when viewing pictures or documents Taskade does not show up anywhere in the iOS or Mac OS share sheet where just about every other app on my device shows up. Again, this is also important to quickly getting tasks into Taskade from other apps.
BTW, the status of the email feature says In Progress however the original post was over 2 years ago. Is this coming soon? Thanks!

keithp: Hey there! We've recently released our Automation feature, and we're in the process of getting approval from the Google team for Gmail. Once that's supported, we'll look into expanding support for other Email Service Providers.
You'll be able to do exactly what you're aiming for with Gmail Automation.
Receive an Email -> Summarize or Rephrase with AI -> Create a Task in Taskade

One of the things that is stopping me from using taskade to its fullest is the ability to email a task to my projects or folders. Several of my tasks come from my email, and the lack of ability to email those tasks make it difficult to utilize taskade.
This could look like an email address generated for each folder/project, or the ability to enable it when you want it.

This needs to remain dynamically synchronised, enabling us to maintain complete granular control over when, what, and where to add or allow edits, and when not to, along with the associated privileges.

I'm glad I found this place while searching for a solution! Could you please incorporate the feature of automatically turning everything received from a specific sender into a Taskade task? It would be really helpful!

albertkinng: Thanks! Would it suffice to have a project-level block selection feature for emails? This way, you could email tasks directly to a specific project, select the block where they should be placed, and add them to either the top or bottom.
We could designate a specific email address for this purpose or utilize third-party integrations like Zapier or Gmail. The behavior can be similar to the 'Quick Add' functionality in Taskade today: https://help.taskade.com/hc/en-us/articles/7332348536979--Quick-Add-Shortcut

John at Taskade: I absolutely love using Quick Add on a daily basis, it's such a fantastic feature. The menu bar is also working flawlessly, although it would be even better if the app could be closed and I could still access the menu bar. I understand that might not be a priority for you right now, but it would be a fantastic addition. Additionally, one thing I really need is the ability to email a task. I see this is "in progress," it gives me a great sense of hope and reassurance.

John at Taskade: Project-level blocks would be cool, IMO. There should be an option for the Subject to be the heading, the message body to be the subtask (maybe different subtask per paragraph), and attachments will be, of course, the attachments. ✨

And I like your idea of using variables. This would really level up the "Email to Taskade" feature.

The AI told me this feature existed and then made up a bunch of user journeys. I've now found this post and know its planned, but that was a pain. Would love to see it without Zapier.
