Narek Zograbian: I would like to be able to convert emails to tasks and appointments. With Evernote and Remember The Milk I could forward the email to the task manager and it would parse out the tasks and dates and convert them. Something similar would be great because we get a lot of clients emailing us with jobs that need doing, or asking for meetings -- we do have a Calendly-type appointment page on our website but a lot of clients can't seem to find it! ;-)

portmaconline: Would you want something similar to Zoom's Mail Client, where users can connect their email accounts and manage their email from within Taskade?

Or are you referring more to a workflow where you forward emails to a Taskade email address?

Narek Zograbian: No, we use Thunderbird to monitor something like 16 email accounts, so integrating all of those accounts into Taskade wouldn't be very productive. What I would suggest is some way to just forward certain emails to Taskade, and have it parse out the dates, locations, etc into tasks with due dates, locations, etc set in Taskade.

Evernote and Remember The Milk both have a dedicated email address which we used to forward the emails to that address, and they would parse out the dates, locations, etc, and put them into the right format, with the body of the email as a task. Something similar would be great!

portmaconline: That makes more sense! Would you want to do this from within Thunderbird as an add-on or would you want there to be a dedicated email address to email to?

If you want a dedicated email address, would you want that to be per workspace?

Narek Zograbian: Either solution would work, but I think a dedicated email address per workspace would probably be easier for you guys to implement rather then building a Thunderbird plugin, and would suit more people. I know that not everybody uses Thunderbird, so a dedicated email address would work for those using other email clients as well. Maybe you could have an option to select the workspace when forwarding the email, rather than a separate email per workspace?
