Here is what works today. The Public API has archiveProject, which takes a project out of active use, and restoreProject, which brings it back. Most scripts that clean up projects can use archiveProject.

A permanent delete endpoint, like the delete in the app, is not available yet. That part is still open, and votes help us prioritize.

Completely valid — if you can create a project via the API, you should absolutely be able to delete one too. A missing DELETE endpoint for projects creates asymmetry that forces you to manage cleanup manually through the UI, which defeats the purpose of automation.

This is on our Public API roadmap and actively in progress. We've been expanding API coverage steadily, and project lifecycle management (including deletion) is a natural next step. In the meantime, if you're building workflows that need to clean up projects programmatically, Taskade Genesis (https://taskade.com/create) lets you build AI agents with automation triggers that can manage workspace operations — which may offer a bridge until the DELETE endpoint is live.
